Volunteer Recognition Awards: Nominate a Local Hero by January 30

At the New Canaan Community Foundation, we believe in celebrating the individuals who make our community stronger every day. Nominations are now open for the 2026 Volunteer Recognition Awards, and we need your help to recognize the volunteers who go above and beyond in New Canaan!

Do you know someone who generously gives their time, shares their talents, or supports local organizations in ways big or small? Submit your nomination by January 30 to honor these remarkable community members and shine a spotlight on their dedication, generosity, and service.

Who is eligible?

Nominees must either be residents of New Canaan or volunteer within our town.

Nomination Categories:

• Youth – MVP

• Youth – Hall of Fame

• Hands-On Rookie of the Year

• Hands-On MVP

• Hands-On Hall of Fame

• Outstanding Volunteer Group

Event Details:

The Volunteer Recognition Awards will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Town Hall. This evening is a special opportunity to celebrate and thank our local heroes, mark your calendars, but don’t forget that the priority is to nominate by January 30!
