You’re Invited: NCCF Annual Spring Luncheon
Spring is a season of renewal, reflection, and community, and in New Canaan, it’s also a time to come together in support of neighbors and programs that strengthen lives close to home. The NCCF Annual Spring Luncheon is a signature gathering dedicated to meaningful connection, impact, and thoughtful dialogue around the challenges facing our community.
Annual Spring Luncheon
The Annual Spring Luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Country Club of New Canaan. This highly anticipated event brings residents together to raise critical funds in support of NCCF’s mission while fostering thoughtful dialogue around the challenges facing the community.
Featuring:
Andrea Elliott, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, author, and investigative reporter for The New York Times, recognized for her compelling storytelling and in-depth reporting on social and cultural issues.
In Conversation With:
Dasani Coates, whose childhood was chronicled in Invisible Child: Poverty, Survival, and Hope in an American City, recounts her journey through homelessness and hardship, sharing a story of courage, resilience, and hope. Nearly 1.38 million school-aged children in the United States experience homelessness, including approximately one in twelve children in nearby New York City.
Moderated By:
Jane Stoddard Williams, New Canaan native and a respected leader in television, radio, and the nonprofit sector, known for her thoughtful perspective and lifelong commitment to public service.
More than a gathering, the luncheon serves as a platform for education, reflection, and action, supporting NCCF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen lives in New Canaan and surrounding communities.
