New “Navigator” Program Supports Caregivers

Caring for someone with Alzheimer's or memory impairment can be overwhelming. Too often, a caregiver’s own needs are ignored or suppressed.  The Navigator program, housed at Waveny LifeCare Network, was developed in partnership with the New Canaan Community Foundation to address this need and is committed to a confidential and personalized approach that recognizes the unique and often emotionally demanding nature of caring for someone with dementia.

The Navigator is a single point of access for the caregiver.  This free program gives New Canaan clients 24/7 access to a specialist, resources, support groups, and priority access to a full continuum of supportive care.

For those in New Canaan interested in learning more about the Navigator program, please reach out by calling 203-594-5289 or emailing Navigator@waveny.org
