We are so grateful to the 150+ local residents who take the time to make a meaningful impact on our community each year with NCCF.
We offer a range of opportunities for you to strengthen our community by volunteering your time.

Our grant review volunteers work in teams to review grant proposals, attend site visits, and ultimately recommend which grants to fund and at what level.

These volunteers help plan and execute our Spring Luncheons, educational events, and community events.

There are many opportunities in our community to spread the message about local philanthropy - these volunteers ensure NCCF is always a part of the local philanthropic conversation!

Nominate your neighbor for the Volunteer Recognition Awards
The annual Volunteer Recognition Awards is New Canaan’s opportunity to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary individuals and groups that are the backbone of our local nonprofit community!
Awards are given out in the following categories:
Youth
Rookie of the Year
Hands-On
Board Leadership
Outstanding Volunteer Group
Hall of Fame
Can you think of an outstanding volunteer that fits into these categories? The 2024 Volunteer Recognition Application process will kick off in September 2024. Please note that nominees must either be residents of New Canaan or volunteer in New Canaan.
The Awards will take place mid-October 2024 at the Town Meeting Room on the second floor of Town Hall. The event is typically followed by a celebratory reception at Pesca. More details in September!
