NCCF’s Fall Applications & Programs Are Open!

As we move into fall, the New Canaan Community Foundation is opening applications and recognition opportunities that connect students, nonprofits, and volunteers to meaningful community work. Here are three ways to get involved and make an impact.

Letters of Inquiry Open for the 2025 Main Grant Cycle – Due October 17th

Nonprofit organizations in Lower Fairfield County are invited to apply for funding through NCCF’s 2025 Main Grant Cycle. The Foundation prioritize:

  • Organizations broadly serving New Canaan in quality-of-life initiatives

  • Organizations addressing urgent needs in neighboring communities

The deadline to submit a Letter of Inquiry is Thursday, October 17th at 11:30 pm.

For those new to the process, NCCF will host an Applicant Info Session on Friday, September 19th at 3 pm. This virtual meeting will cover the grant application, outline the site visit process, and answer questions. A recording will be available afterward for anyone unable to attend live.

Young Philanthropists Program – Applications Due October 3rd

High school students in New Canaan have a unique opportunity to explore philanthropy through the Young Philanthropists Program. Participants meet monthly to learn how nonprofits address local needs, volunteer with community partners, raise funds, and take part in a real grantmaking process.

This year’s group will focus on two critical areas, behavioral health and environmental/animal rights. It’s a chance for students not only to develop leadership skills but also to contribute directly to positive change in their community.

Deadline: Friday, October 3rd

Volunteer Recognition – Coming Soon

Volunteers are the heart of NCCF’s work, and this fall, the Foundation will be recognizing the incredible individuals who give their time and talents to support the community. Stay tuned as we share more about how we’ll celebrate their impact.

Together, these opportunities reflect the many ways people of all ages and backgrounds can play a role in strengthening New Canaan and surrounding communities.
