Scott's career spans over 35 years in public accounting, providing attest and accounting services to manufacturing companies, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. He also developed a practice assisting privately held business owners with tax planning and the use of pensions as tax-savings tools. Scott joined NCCF as Head of Accounting in June 2026.

Prior to that, Scott was the Managing Partner of Dylewsky, Goldberg & Brenner, LLC — a Connecticut-based, full-service accounting, tax, and advisory firm that combined with Marks Paneth in 2017.

Scott has taught at the collegiate level for over 32 years. As a professor of the practice at Fairfield University, he developed and taught several courses covering computerized accounting systems, business software applications, and nonprofit, governmental, and financial accounting. He has also led courses for Fortune 500 companies and national trade conferences, and is currently spearheading a project to teach college students financial literacy.

Scott has served on many local boards, including his synagogue's Board of Trustees as President, Treasurer, and Board Member at-large. He also served as Treasurer for his children's overnight summer camp and currently serves on the board of Kids in Crisis and as the volunteer Chief Financial Officer of Education and Hope.

Scott enjoys biking and hiking with his wife and dog, along with running road races of all sorts. He has two grown children and one grandchild.
