Peter is the founder and current Managing General Partner of Education Growth Partners (EGP), a Stamford-based mission-oriented private equity firm. Founded in 2011, EGP is focused entirely on investing in innovative education and human development companies. Peter has a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

A long time Connecticut resident (raised in Storrs CT), Peter and his wife moved to New Canaan in 2006, where their children attended New Canaan Public Schools. Peter is a trustee of Norwalk Hospital and has also served as Member of the Health and Human Services Commission of New Canaan. He also served for 13 years on the Board of Directors for Echoing Green, which has provided seed funding to over 750 social entrepreneurs with bold ideas for organizations to help drive change for a better future. Peter is currently an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School focusing both on lifelong learning and on initiatives that explore how students navigate pathways to purpose.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys family time, outdoor exercise and vacations, music - and is always midstream on a book. Or two.
