We might be able to help! Follow these steps to apply for a Sapienza scholarship.
New applicants should:
Complete the online scholarship application which requires:
- Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online and submit a Student Aid Report (SAR) which shows the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to the cost of the education.
- Submitting your most recent Federal tax return Form 1040.
- Providing the Financial Aid Award letter from the school you will attend.
- Writing a Statement of Financial Need, outlining the family’s overall financial situation and the need for assistance.
- Requesting an official transcript, which should be sent directly from your most recent school.
- Writing a Personal Statement describing your educational and career objectives and future goals.
- Requesting a recommendation.
Returning applicants who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible to re-apply for scholarship assistance. The process is simplified:
Complete the online application:
- Providing updated financial information.
- Requesting a current transcript from your school.
All award decisions are made in June and payments for each semester are sent directly to the non-profit school. Typical scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $4,000 per year.
Applicants with a demonstrated history of community service can ask to be considered for the Dorrico Rotary Scholarship as well.
