Students: Do you need scholarship help to continue your education?
Applying to the Foundation
You may apply directly to the Foundation for financial assistance from the Sapienza Scholarship Fund and ask to be considered for an award from the Dorrico Fund through that application process. The Foundation makes scholarship payments directly to your school and therefore can only consider applications from students enrolled at non-profit schools. Scholarship amounts typically range from $1,000 to $5,000. Students may reapply for a scholarship in subsequent years of college, if they maintain the required minimum GPA of 2.5.
Recipients of the awards that are coordinated with New Canaan High School are selected by teachers and administrators at the school, and students cannot apply directly to be considered.
Scholarship applications are due in early May and funding decisions are announced in late May. For more information, call the office or see Sapienza Scholarship Fund for details.

Make a Difference
Donors: Do you want to make a different in a student’s life?
The Foundation manages several scholarship and award funds established by donors. The goals of these funds are as unique as the donors’ interests, and range from helping New Canaan residents who need financial assistance to further their education to acknowledging accomplishments of local high school students. All these funds continue the charitable legacy of the individual or family that established them.
We’d love to help you meet your philanthropic goals. If you are interested in establishing a scholarship or award fund, to help local students, to benefit a school you care about, or to establish a charitable legacy, call us at 203-966-0231 or email us at info@newcanaancf.org and see how we can help.
