Our group of high school-aged students learn about philanthropy in part through engaging in an annual grant-making process.
Each year as part of our Young Philanthropists Program curriculum, participating high school students learn about the role of nonprofit organizations in our community, and decide together what their funding focus will be for their grant making. We teach these students how to have the greatest impact with their funding decisions.
The students review the grant applications submitted through our main grant application process that meet their focus, and work together to make final funding decisions. Average grants range from $1,000 to $2,500.
