The Foundation and our programs are some of the best kept secrets in New Canaan. We love to share our stories and get the word out about community philanthropy and the many ways we help our Town. We inspire students, parents, Girl Scouts, Church groups, and charitable residents. We’d love to attend your community gathering of any size.

Our professional staff also provides important educational resources to area nonprofit organizations through our network of Executive Directors.

School Presentations

We visit local preschools, elementary, middle, and high schools to talk about charity, community philanthropy and how everyone can make a difference in the world.

NCHS Awards

We honor three graduating seniors each year who are selected for their outstanding commitment to volunteerism and our community.

Service Club Meetings

We are invited to speak to gatherings of area groups to describe our programs, including students, Rotary Club, Exchange Club, Kiwanis Club, and Girl Scouts.

Community Events

We participate in the Waveny Summer Concert Series, the Sidewalk Sale and the Holiday Stroll.

Best Kept Secret Gatherings

We host informal get-togethers at homes of our supporters, to explain the programs and services of the Foundation as well as describe our volunteer opportunities.

Annual Meeting

We invite the community to join us in January of each year at this fun gathering, to hear an inspiring and educational keynote speaker and a brief report about the Foundation’s accomplishments during the past year.

Grant Award Coffee

We highlight the dozens of local nonprofit organizations that receive grant funds from the Foundation to support their critical efforts to improve the quality of life in our community.

Executive Directors Professional Development Group

We established this group in 2013 to provide access to educational resources and opportunities to share ideas and solutions to common challenges. View recent presentations on our Publications page.
