The New Canaan Community Foundation is pleased to announce that their new field of interest fund, the Young Philanthropists Fund (YPF), has made its first grant awards to non-profit organizations serving our community. Recommendations for the grants were made by the Fund’s Steering Committee of seventeen high-school aged students from New Canaan High School, St. Luke’s School and New Canaan Country School. These young people met monthly during the 2007-2008 academic year with Community Foundation staff, Board members and local leaders to learn the principles of community philanthropy.
