Members of the NCCF Board of Directors are responsible (collectively and individually) for the overall management of the Foundation: determining policy, assuming fiduciary responsibility, making grants, raising funds, establishing goals, ensuring quality staff performance and enhancing and strengthening the Foundation's presence in the community. As such, the Board bears ultimate responsibility for the legal, financial, administrative, grantmaking, community service and fundraising activities of the Foundation. All Board activities are guided by the NCCF mission.
The Board is made up of members from the New Canaan community. Board members are selected based on their volunteer commitment and demonstrated experience in the field of community service and in nonprofit organizations in our community. All Board members serve as full voting members. Members are identified by the Board and announced at the Foundation's Annual Meeting in January. The term of service is two 3 year-terms.
