The Foundation supports New Canaan students continuing their education through scholarships and awards.

The New Canaan Community Foundation might be able to help. The Foundation manages a number of scholarship funds established by generous individuals and families. In 2014, the Foundation will award over $180,000 in college scholarships for more than 70 New Canaan students.

- Our largest scholarship program is named after the donor who established the fund. The Sapienza program helps needy New Canaan residents of all ages who require financial assistance to continue their education. Recipients can apply again for subsequent years. - Applicants to the main scholarship program may also be considered for the Dorrico Rotary Award for students who have demonstrated loyalty to the community through volunteer service. Learn more about the Dorrico Rotary Award.
- Several award funds have been established by local donors to honor students selected by staff at New Canaan High School based on specific criteria. Learn more about these other awards.
